The Reception Baseline Assessment (RBA) is a statutory assessment from September 2021 onwards. It provides a snapshot of where pupils are when they arrive at school. It will provide a starting point to measure the progress schools make with their pupils between reception and the end of primary school.

Privacy notices for the early adopter year
Due to COVID-19, the statutory roll out, due to take place from September 2020, was delayed. However, all schools with reception classes were invited to take part in the early adopter year in the autumn term of 2020. The assessment period for the early adopter year is now complete, but privacy notices relating to the early adopter year can be found here.
