The next UK researchED will be held in Bournemouth, bringing together leading education experts to talk on a range of topics.

NFER’s Senior Statistician, Ruth Staunton, will be holding a session on ‘ChatGPT in Lesson Preparation’, to present on NFER’s recent research into ChatGPT and how it can be used to prepare lessons and resources. The report showed that a group of teachers encouraged to use ChatGPT for lesson planning spent significantly less time in this activity than a group of teachers asked not to use generative AI for lesson planning. However, no difference was detected in the quality of lesson resources between the two groups.
