Bite into Writing is a resource for year 6 teachers, designed to help you teach and assess KS2 writing with confidence.
Teaching and moderating writing is not always easy, especially when it comes to ensuring consistency with other teachers and schools. That’s why, together with experienced writing moderators, NFER has developed Bite into Writing. This educational resource offers flexible activities, enabling pupils to develop a range of written material and features annotated examples from real pupils.
We are proud of the fact we were the first sixth-form college to be a recognised research-engaged college by NFER. It has enabled us to broaden and widen our professional dialogue for the benefit of all our youngsters
Principal, The Sixth Form College, Farnborough
Our experience of working on teacher assessment at a national level inspired us to produce this comprehensive resource that links reading, writing, and assessment. We’re grateful to the schools who tried out the materials and gave us feedback.
Bite into Writing authors
Great material for linking quality reading into writing with the added bonus of excellent assessment guidance. I’d add this to my bank of essential resources as a teacher.
