NFER is saddened to learn of the news of the passing of Sir Jim Rose. Sir Jim was NFER’s President from 2008 until 2022, where he brought his vast experience and knowledge of the world of education to offer support and guidance to the Foundation.
Carole Willis, Chief Executive of NFER, said, “Sir Jim offered his time, support and wise advice to NFER over a period of 14 years as President. The organisation transformed hugely during Sir Jim’s tenure, as a direct result of his encouragement. I was inspired by Jim’s gentle and effective influencing skills, his integrity and his relentless focus on improving outcomes for children and young people. Sir Jim will be fondly missed.”
