The Impact of Creative Partnerships on the Attainment of Young People

Caroline Sharp, Anna Eames, Tom Benton, Lesley Kendall

01 September 2006

A team at NFER was responsible for the national evaluation of Creative Partnerships in its first two years. The evaluation included surveys of schools, creative partners, children and young people as well as interviews with parents. A third strand set out to consider the progress in national assessments of young people who had attended Creative Partnerships activities compared with a similar group of young people who did not attend. A statistical technique was used to examine the relationship between attendance at Creative Partnerships activities (or schools) and how much progress young people made in their examinations, taken in summer 2004.
