Impact Summary for Schools

We are immensely grateful to all the schools who so generously give their time to support our work.

Despite another hugely busy year, 2023 saw over 71,000 teachers and senior leaders take part in our research and assessments. An incredible 1.6 million pupils engaged with NFER research, assessment trials and resources.

What might start as a teacher survey, a classroom trial or review of assessment data has the potential to lead to improved outcomes for children and young people both now and in the future. To share the insights that we create with the people who help us create them, our Research Bites for schools was launched in 2023. These termly summaries share key research findings and practical, evidence-based tips for teachers and school leaders on topics that affect school life.

It is due to your support that we were able to continue our programme of truly independent research on the education topics that make a difference. Thank you.
