Copenhagen, Denmark

The 14th European Evaluators Society Biennial Conference took place onsite in Copenhagen in June.

Dr Angela Donkin, NFER’s Chief Social Scientist, chaired a round table on Maximising the Potential of Secondary Data in Education Sector Evaluations in Context of COVID-19.

With colleagues Dr Ben Styles, Dr Jose Liht and Dr Jessica Chu sharing lessons learned from three different projects, the discussion covered nimble randomised controlled trials, maximising secondary data analysis through machine learning and the use of outcome harvesting.

Dr Chu also presented a paper – Giving voice to children with disabilities: Lessons learned from the use of participatory methods to evaluate a girls’ education programme in Sierra Leone – as part of the Community and Participatory Approaches session.
