ResearchED Nottingham

ResearchED held their second conference in Nottingham, with multiple sessions from various education organisations and schools.

NFER’s School Workforce Lead, Jack Worth, gave a keynote speech on teacher supply – ‘Are we going to have enough teachers?’. Jack drew on research from NFER’s recent report ‘The impact of pay and financial incentives on teacher supply’ which recommends that government should introduce additional financial incentives, including increasing bursaries and applying the ‘levelling up premium’ early-career retention payment to all teachers of shortage subjects in England.
