Values and Life Skills Africa Conference

NFER Researcher Lisa Kuhn and Dr Pei-tseng Jenny Hsieh, Senior Assessment Specialist, are presenting at the Values and Life Skills Africa Conference (VaLi-A) in Nairobi, Kenya, hosted by the Regional Education Learning Initiative (RELI).

Jenny will present in the Unravelling the path between assessment and change: Lessons from global initiatives session, sharing NFER's insights and expertise on use of Global South assessment instruments and policy implications and Lisa is co-leading a plenary discussion session, Harvested knowledge and questions from disparate approaches: Implications for curriculum and classroom practice.

This is the inaugural Values and Life Skills conference in Africa, bringing together a wide range of stakeholders to build momentum for the collaborative monitoring of SDG 4.7 with a view to increasing interest of political leaders and CSOs on life skills and values in East Africa; learn about effective approaches to assessment and enhancement of values and life skills across contexts; prompt key actions on policy prioritisation for assessment and enhancement of values and life skills in the East Africa context.
